What are tokens?

Macros are placeholders for values that change dynamically in a URL's server request. These macros are pre-configured for Selfadvertiser integrated trackers, but learning how macros work is useful for optimization and improving your ROI.

The tokens are special keywords you can use in the destination URL field when creating a campaign. They'll be replaced with the actual information during the ad serving process.

The parameter before SelfAdvertiser's macro needs to match your tracker parameters. This will allow SelfAdvertisers servers and your tracking platform server to communicate with each other.

Our platform supports the following tracking tokens:

  • @@SOURCE@@ - The source/ Site ID which presented your ad

  • @@CAMPAIGN-KEYWORD@@ - The keyword matched by your campaign's targeting (This token is relevant only for Pop and Domain redirect traffic)

  • @@KEYWORD@@- The keyword sent per impression in a RON campaign (This token is relevant only for Pop and Domain redirect traffic)

  • @@CLICK-ID@@ - For conversion tracking

  • @@GEO@@ - Sends country code/Geo

  • @@CAMPAIGN_NAME@@ - Sends campaign name

  • @@DEVICE@@ - Sends the device the impression came from (Desktop, Mobile, Tablet, or Other)

  • @@OS@@ - Operating system the impression came from

  • @@BROWSER@@ - Sends the browser name the impression came from

  • @@CARRIER@@- Sends the mobile carrier the impression came from

  • @@BID@@ - Sends the price paid for an impression

  • @@LANGUAGE@@ - Sends the Geo and browser language the impressions came from

  • @@LANGUAGE_CODE@@ - Sends the browser language the impressions came from

  • @@CREATIVE-ID@@ - Sends the creative id which was presented (This token is relevant only for Push traffic)
